David Magee, Director

David Magee has been working in the field of special education for the past sixteen years. He has worked and consulted to staff members and parents in a variety of settings, including substantially separate settings, group homes, private homes and public schools. David has earned a reputation for advocating for children with behavioral disorders and is best known for his work with children who have been diagnosed along the autism spectrum.

In addition to his knowledge in regards to the treatment of children, he has earned a reputation with parents and professionals as a competent, professional and fair evaluator who makes recommendations based on what is best for the child. David advocates for the services that each child is entitled to under special education law. In addition to his work, he has extensive education and training in the area of applied behavioral analysis and special education law. He is currently taking Doctorate classes at Simmons College in Boston. David has a unique professional background that includes a combination of experiences, including:

  • Special education administration
  • Providing direct service to children
  • Conducting functional behavioral assessments
  • Providing consultation services to school personnel and residential staff
  • Home training with parents
  • Developing professional development activities to assist individuals in understanding how to treat children with behavioral disorders
